Karrin Burns is an Apple Distinguished Educator (ADE) and novice iOS app developer. She is a Grade 3 teacher at Lincoln School in River Forest, Illinois. Karrin enjoys using inquiry-based learning and design-thinking in her classroom to maximize student learning as well as encourage connections between students and communities. She is the author of Cultivating a Culture of Collaboration and Creativity in the Classroom and co-author of Literacy: The K-3 Literacy Project (both available on Apple Books). She believes #EveryoneCanCode, and teaches coding to her students. Karrin also develops iOS apps with her students that help solve community problems, such as mood management in children.
